FOAL / WEANLING TRAINING
Foals and weanlings receive extensive, consistent hands-on handling and attention at Jon Ray Ranch. The “babies” leave the ranch knowing how to trailer load, walk on a hot walker, and behave on a lead.

WORKING RANCH HORSE TRAINING
Jon Ray Ranch is located in the heart of cattle country. One of the last phases of 2-year-old training is introducing the young horse to range cattle. Moving through the herd quietly and learning to relax around the cattle is important.

RACE
Jon Ray Ranch is near the sanctioned racecourse at the Cochise County Fairgrounds. We work with trainers at all the commercial tracks in the Southwest and California to develop a training program specifically designed for the owners’ and trainers’ wishes.
